Leon Gross is a local photographer here in the Southern Highlands he has taken his love of photography from a child to a professional level, he has photographed events such as clothing swaps amongst other things. Leon has the ability to capture a unique perspective and show things in a different light. 

His animal photography often tells a story as in the case of a dirty white domestic duck or just captures an individual animal such as a wombat with incredible detail. 

The subjects which he photographs are varied and whether it is a pile of vegetables at a market or a landscape in the natural environment there is something about them that you just have to have them on your wall. 

In his travels Leon has found amazing scenery and architeture, misty lakes, castles, cathedrals and simple buildings There are a whole host of images here on our website to browse through. They make wonderful gifts and we are proud to be supporting a local artist.

A quote from Leon "I received my first camera, an Olympus Pen, back when I was in primary school. I couldn't to use it much because film was expensive! So after a few years and time spent a photography club at school, I saved and set up my own darkroom with my first SLR, a Nikon FA.

After spending time with Nikon, then Canon I have now settled back with Olympus. Of course any camera is just a tool... Now many years later, I have progressed to a digital darkroom and still spend too much time taking and editing photos!
